The AbilityOne Advantage
Fleet Management
Quality control is the basis for all of AbilityOne’s
fleet management services. Our process begins
with the thorough monitoring of services by managers
available to provide supervision and assistance
to each worker. Metrics are a major focus as
well, evaluating database-generated reports and
conducting trend analyses. From there, immediate
corrective action is taken when the situation
dictates. Quality control corrective actions
are addressed on a case-by-case basis, and we
insist on maintaining open lines of communication
with key personnel including all base customers,
base contracting and Quality Assurance Personnel.
AbilityOne quality control plans are developed
according to the specifications of each contract
and include:
- Effective quality control inspection system
- Performance
analysis
- Identification of trends (both
positive and negative)
- Process review
and enhancement
- Identification of causes
- Quantification and
prevention of deficiencies
The centerpiece of our vehicle maintenance program
is a comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM)
program designed to control the cost of fleet
operations by minimizing breakdowns and unscheduled
maintenance. PM services are scheduled on your
timetable; intervals are based on certain “triggers”
(intervals of time and/or usage) that meet manufacturers’
recommendations and/or military standards.
AbilityOne can also provide support in a wide
variety of management services including operator
licenses, fleet replacement and purchasing, management
of vehicles, credit card administration, billing
and accounting, fixed asset tracking as well
as data entry utilizing commercial fleet management
information systems and/or a DOD provided system
such as SAMS-E and OLVIMS.

“The partnership between
AbilityOne, Skookum and Fort Lewis for
Wheeled Vehicle Fleet Maintenance has been
truly a win-win situation. The quality
of service has been outstanding. Open communications
between the three parties has been a key
ingredient for the success of this venture.
Choosing [AbilityOne] allowed the government
and the selected NPA to discuss the statement
of work thoroughly prior to submitting
the proposal so there were no surprises.”
