Vehicle Washing & Detailing (Mobile Solution
Available)
AbilityOne and its nonprofit partners recognize
that maintaining the appearance and condition
of vehicles affects their value as assets
and the image you project to the public. We can
provide cost-efficient vehicle and equipment
washing and detailing services at your facilities
either in your service department or as a mobile
service in parking lots.
Vehicle exterior washing
and interior cleaning and detailing
Government
fleets outsource vehicle washing and interior
detailing services to enable their skilled
staff mechanics to spend more time on the
maintenance and repairs for which they
are trained. AbilityOne and its NPA partners
can provide supplement personnel to hand or spray
wash vehicles and clean or detail interiors to
your specifications.
Clean by steam – a green
solution
Steam cleans the entire car; exterior including
tires, interior, windows and engine. It
is an ideal mobile car wash system. The
machines mobility means vehicles can be
cleaned nearly anywhere – including the
typical office parking lot.
Environmentally-Friendly
Perhaps the most attractive aspect of the
mobile steam wash system is how safe it
is for the environment. Traditional, coin-operated
car washes typically use about seven gallons
of water per wash, but this equipment requires
just eight ounces (one cup) of distilled
water and a small amount of biodegradable
wax cleaner to simultaneously wash and
wax an average sedan automobile. The dual
effect of car washing and polishing saves
time, improves efficiency and better protects
a vehicle by reducing exterior paint deterioration.
Other environmentally friendly features include:
- ZERO water or chemical run-off
- Eradicates the
need for water recycling
- Energy saving shut-off
valves
- Biodegradable products
- Reduces fuel, emissions
- And MOST IMPORTANTLY
– oss of individual employee time involved
with moving vehicle to/from a traditional
car wash facility
Mobile washing and interior
cleaning
Mobile washing services (also known as
“site washing”) are ideal for Government
fleets that are geographically dispersed
across a large facility or located at multiple
sites or campuses or that have limited
available space/wash bays in their maintenance
facilities. Site washing and interior cleaning
minimizes down-time for vehicles and drivers
because we bring the services to you.
Vehicle Up-Fitting, Shipping, Refurbishing,
Decommissioning and Disposal
AbilityOne and our NPA partners recognize that
it is critical that your new and like-new equipment
and vehicles are incorporated to your fleet as
quickly as possible. We will help you ensure
that vehicles are prepared for service to specifications
and can install necessary after-market components
Some of the services include:
- Transportation, delivery, pick-up and storage
of vehicles
- Installation of emergency lighting
equipment, security compartments - canine
and detainee transport units
- Installation
of electrical wiring, hardware fabrication
and welding
- Installation of security partitions,
shot gun racks, sirens, first aid emergency
kits,
- Installation of vehicle striping
and marking
When vehicles reach the end of their useful
life, our mechanics and technicians will prepare
them for decommissioning by removing equipment
if necessary and detailing vehicles to help you
obtain the highest resale value possible. AbilityOne
will also assist in managing vehicle remarketing
or disposal.
Some of the services include:
- Removal of security compartments and accessories
- Removal
of striping/marking
- Removal and processing
of license plates
- Radio removal and processing

“The partnership between
AbilityOne, Skookum and Fort Lewis for
Wheeled Vehicle Fleet Maintenance has been
truly a win-win situation. The quality
of service has been outstanding. Open communications
between the three parties has been a key
ingredient for the success of this venture.
Choosing [AbilityOne] allowed the government
and the selected NPA to discuss the statement
of work thoroughly prior to submitting
the proposal so there were no surprises.”
